Hello and welcome to my little corner of the world! Some of you may have found me from my old webpage and/or blog and some of you may have just stumbled upon me by accident. Welcome!

After some time of neglect to my online home, I decided to make some changes and embrace WordPress so my old blog will serve as an archive.

So much has changed in my life over the last three years or so, especially since January of this year.

As a recap, in October of 2021 I left a job in higher education after 19 years to work at a hospital. Weeks later, one of my sisters passed after her cancer returned. January of 2022 my mom passed very unexpectedly. I’ve had COVID twice in 2022 but thankfully they were mild bouts. January 2023 the hospital I worked at decided to close and only gave employees one week’s notice.

Lots of change. Lots of big emotions. Lots of uncertainty.

During my layoff, I’ve been hoping they decide to reopen the location as a REH (rural emergency hospital) but I have also been job hunting and trying to declutter and simplify my life while I figure out “what’s next.”

So what is next? I’m not really sure. I have quite a few art projects in mind and a story has been calling to me to get it out on paper. As I make progress with these projects I’ll be posting updates here.

I’m excited to see what the future holds and what other changes will be coming my way. Thanks for joining me on the journey!
